Kickstarter backer answers A pledge supports a project. It is not a store order.
For Kickstarter backers
8ight Pro will launch first on Kickstarter, with the campaign planned for October–November 2026. The exact date will be announced through the 8ight waitlist and official campaign page.
No. A pledge supports a project that is still being brought to completion; it is not a purchase of stocked inventory through the 8ight Store. Kickstarter’s campaign page, reward descriptions, estimated delivery, and platform terms apply.
For a standard pledge, Kickstarter charges your card when the campaign reaches its funding deadline and is successfully funded. If it does not reach its goal, backers are not charged. A temporary authorization may appear when you pledge.
Kickstarter generally lets you cancel while a campaign is live, subject to its current platform rules. After a successfully funded campaign ends and collection begins, cancellation is no longer available through Kickstarter. Later requests must be addressed by the project creator and the applicable campaign terms.
Planned reward configurations include 8ight Pro with or without the charging case. Each reward will list the exact glasses, case, lens, accessory, and service contents before you pledge.
Prescription and photochromic lens options are planned. Supported prescription ranges, lens combinations, regional availability, pricing, and any post-campaign selection process will be confirmed with the final reward details.
The campaign will explain whether details are collected through Kickstarter or an approved pledge-management flow. Watch official project updates and only submit information through the confirmed workflow. Address changes can become restricted once fulfillment preparation begins.
Each reward will show an estimated delivery window before pledges open. Hardware production, certification, testing, and fulfillment timelines can change, so an estimate is not a guaranteed retail shipping date. Backers will receive project updates if the schedule changes.
Eligible destinations will be listed on the campaign before you pledge. Availability may vary because of certification, logistics, warranty coverage, battery transport, and local rules for camera-enabled hardware.
The final campaign will state which charges are included and when they are collected. VAT, customs duties, tariffs, brokerage, or carrier fees may depend on the destination and may be collected separately. Review the reward and shipping terms for your location before pledging.
Warranty coverage, exclusions, supported regions, and the repair process will be published before pledges open. Final terms will explain how to contact 8ight and what information is required for a support request.
Kickstarter is not a traditional store. Backers support a project still being completed, and development, certification, manufacturing, or fulfillment can involve delays and other risks. The campaign will describe product status, estimated delivery, and key risks before you decide.
Not yet. 8ight Pro will launch first through Kickstarter. If direct pre-orders open later, they will use a separate 8ight checkout with the package, price, payment timing, delivery estimate, and applicable terms shown before confirmation.
No. Joining the waitlist is free and does not create an order, reserve inventory, guarantee campaign access, or charge a payment method. It is the best way to receive launch timing, package, and availability updates.
Direct pre-orders may be limited by age, destination, certification, available allocation, campaign phase, or quantity. Supported regions and any order limits will be shown before payment.
The checkout will state whether payment is collected in full, taken as a deposit, authorized for later capture, or scheduled in installments. The total price, currency, shipping charges, and taxes known at checkout will be shown before you confirm.
The cancellation method and any voluntary cancellation window will be shown before payment. Mandatory consumer cancellation and refund rights remain protected. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless the law or an agreement requires another route.
The product page and checkout will identify the selected 8ight Pro package, included accessories, available lens option, and any known software or account requirements. Nothing is included unless it appears in your package summary and order confirmation.
Images and prototypes may differ from the final product. 8ight may make reasonable changes for safety, compliance, reliability, manufacturing, or performance. Material changes will be communicated, with any cancellation or refund rights required by law.
The checkout will show an estimated shipment or delivery window when 8ight has a reasonable basis for one. Testing, certification, manufacturing, components, battery transport, customs, and carrier conditions can affect timing. Material delays will be communicated with the options required by applicable law.
Supported destinations will be confirmed before paid orders open. Availability may depend on product certification, customs requirements, carrier coverage, battery transport, warranty support, and local rules for camera-enabled hardware.
The policies shown before fulfillment will explain returns, repairs, warranty coverage, and support. They will not limit mandatory remedies for goods that are defective, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed, or not supplied as agreed.
8ight Studio is in development for iOS and Android. Minimum operating-system versions, device compatibility, and store availability are still to be announced. There are no live app-store listings yet.
An accepted order will receive a confirmation in a durable format such as email. Keep the order email and reference number for payment, address, cancellation, shipping, and support questions.
